<\/a>\nSaturday was spent driving to restaurants and we consumed absurd amounts of food, followed by some cool car-enthusiasts pit stops. After late breakfast, we went down to Costa Mesa to visit Period Correct. Paul was the one who said we should go there. Now if you know Paul, it is very easy for him to hype-up the most ho-hum place. But I have to hand it to him; Period Correct was a really great shop to visit. I think any motorsport-enthusiast can enjoy this visit. I do wish they had a little more in their show room but maybe it was the minimalism that made it more appealing. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n After Period Correct, we somehow ended up at Euro Car down the road and we got to see a nice variety of luxury, GT, and super cars. No cameras were allowed so we just experienced great craftsmanship from up close. Just like that, the day was over and after an incredible dinner – we decided to call it a day. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next day we woke up early as ever. My eyes were burning and they were blood shot. The plan was to leave the hotel by 5:30 a.m. to make it down to Lake Elsinore by 6:30 a.m. and set up camp. Now in previous years, this was all talk and we were always running late but this year, we were pretty much on the dot. By now our group had grown and we had Michael Blancke with his white EG, Jorge Hernandez with his Gold EG, and Tho Ly and his white S2000. \nPeriod Correct had a couple cars on display – they usually rotate their car display. I am not too sure where they come from but they are absolutely stunning. However on this occasion I knew that the Porsche 356 belonged to the owner.

\nThis blue color really set off the 356. The interior was a light brown that gave it a very nice warm feeling. I think this color goes well with older cars and it complemented the blue paint so well.<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nThe other car on display was a Group 5 Lancia MonteCarlo Turbo. The MonteCarlo won the 1979 World Sports Championship (Under 2 itre) for 1979 and 1980. Three engines were used: 440 hp 1,425.9 cc, 490 hp 1,429.4 cc and 490 hp 1,773.0 cc. I think Paul was having a hard time with the lighting since it was right next to a huge window, and only took sections of the car.

\nThis angle shows how aggressive the lines are, as well as the intercooler peeking through the side vents. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nThe rear is also aggressive and was a familiar sight with mid to late 70s race cars. That middle open section. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nFrom looking at photos and their store catalogue, I saw a Porsche 906 that I wished they had on display. Really enjoy those old Porches. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nJorge had some small changes that set the car off nicely. Again he drove his car from Phoenix. Legit!<\/p>\n<\/a>
\n<\/a>
\nThis was my first time seeing Tho\u2019s S2000 in person and let me tell you, his car is just proper. I had the window down and the turbo spool-up was just magical. It was music to my ears and this was replacing the much needed coffee my tired body was craving. Well-done Mr. Ly.<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nOnce we got to Lake Elisnore, things moved rather quickly. Jason, Dave and two Integras from Loi Spec joined the party and it made for an impressive line up. Booth was all set and I walked around really quickly before the doors opened to the public. <\/p>\n

\nJorge and Jason, both have unique color combinations and are incredible builds. Both rock the First Molding Flugel Plate; Jorge went with Carbon Kevlar while Jason chose Carbon Fiber. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nJason Haradon’s Civic rocking Hyper Red CE28’s. The color combination is very unique and it is safe to say that is a one-off. His EG is immaculate, everything is so perfect and it looks as if it just rolled off the Honda factory. Those ICBJ Pursuit MKI bucket seats fit in and is almost a perfect match to the outside color. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nNext to it was Loi Hua’s track-built Type R.<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nReally digging the color of the wing-risers.<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nI did not expect to see this at all but oh boy, Dave Chik’s Integra Type R is so pristine. I like that everything is stock but I wonder if this will change. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nStock Integra Type R looks so good even when OEM. Couple of photos next to Tai Hua’s just to show you that the Type R is one of those cars that looks great straight off the showroom. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nThis DA Integra was behind the booth and it was rocking Mugen MR5 wheels. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nTho Ly’s S2000 in static form. Wheels are 17×9 +22 CE28s in Formula Silver.<\/p>\n<\/a>

\nAmuse Legalo adorns the front bumper and front fenders. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nBoosted S2000, I like how the turbo manifold is the only thing that has color. Clean engine bay. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nNext to Tho’s S2000 was another turbo’d boosted car wearing CE28s; Michael Blancke’s EG. Michael finished putting his car back together hours before they had to leave Phoenix. Props for finishing up and bringing it over. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nRyan Doolin and Will Wang helped Michael finishing up, here you see Will doing some last minute changes. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nOne of them is sticking out. Yep, the red one is not part of the grayscale family.<\/p>\n<\/a>

\nI haven’t seen Mike’s EG in a couple of years and he had a very unique color combination with the wheels and brakes. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nThis Carbon Kevlar gauge pod is a nice addition to the interior. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nWhat could be better than a Honda Odyssey?<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nHow about an Accord Wagon?<\/p>\n<\/a>
\nThe Eibach booth had a couple track-purpose cars which is what we like to see.<\/p>\n<\/a>

\nThis Integra seemed like it had an integrated air jack. I know K-Series engines is where it is at when it comes to power, but I still favor a B-Series under my hood – personal preference. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nBack to the Falken booth, we had another Mugen themed car; this time an Integra. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\n<\/a>
\nNext to it was a NSX with a Taitec JGTC body kit and rolling on WedsSport TC105Ns<\/p>\n<\/a>
\n<\/a>
\nA couple of rear shots where you can see the wide body kit. <\/p>\n<\/a>

\nMichael Shietroma’s Civic Si was out in the RCG booth. Congratulations to Michael for making the Super Street cover. <\/p>\n<\/a>
\nOne of my favorite things about Michael’s car is the brake set up. It is wild to think that this can fit behind a 16″ wheel and I think Will has the same thoughts. <\/p>\n<\/a>
